About the ingredients: Calendula Shave Soap
Calendula Tea
Calendula is a type of marigold flower that is known for its skin healing properties. For our shave soap, we use a tea made from distilled water and calendula petals.
Stearic Acid
Stearic acid is a fatty acid that occurs naturally in animal and plant fats (typically coconut or palm oil). It helps to soften and smooth the skin.
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil
Coconut oil is a solid, white fat with a low melting that gives a good, slick feel to bath & body products, as well as makes a high lather soap.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Extra virgin olive oil is a carrier oil made by crushing olives and extracting (either by hand or mechanically) the oil. It has excellent conditioning benefits, helps soothe the skin, and gives soap a creamy lather.
Castor Oil
Castor oil is made from the bean of the castor plant. It is a humectant (draws moisture to the skin) and gives soap a luxurious, fluffy lather.
Argan Oil
Argan oil is a silky carrier oil that is made from the nuts of the Argan tree.
Sodium Lactate
Sodium Lactate
Sodium lactate is a naturally occurring humectant derived from the salt of Lactic Acid and has moisturizing properties.
