Nutrition & Homeopathy

Homeopathy & nutrition… what role does diet play?

Homeopathy is excellent for bringing the body back into homeostasis (AKA balance… or where it needs to be to function correctly) when something is wrong… but it is not a replacement for a whole foods diet and good nutrition. Does this mean we have to be perfect? No, not at all! I don’t believe any of us are. But homeopathy works best when it is used in addition to a well balanced diet. Our bodies are capable of overcoming a lot of things when given the right tools. When the body needs a gentle nudge, this is when homeopathy can be used, but it is never a replacement for proper nutrition.

At our house we try to follow the 80/20 rule. While I would love for my entire family to eat a nutrient dense diet 100% of the time, I just don’t feel like it is realistic and the last thing I want my family to do (especially my kids) is have an unhealthy relationship with food that is on either end of the spectrum. What I do want is for them to learn is how to nourish their bodies and realize there is joy in good food that gives their body the fuel it needs to be healthy.

What about you & your family? What is your take on nutrition and the role diets play in our body’s ability to function? Let me know in the comments!
